Partey aside, he'd be our best midfielder by a distance. I don't think he'll ever manage to stay fit for an entire season though, and he usually takes some time to get up to speed after an injury. Add his wages to that, and I'm pretty skeptical about the idea of signing him.
On the other hand, he was instrumental in two of our recent FA Cup wins, consistently one of our best players and actually seems to identify with the club. From an emotional point of view, I'd love to have him back around and I'd wager he still has a few good years left. Would at the very least add goals to the team, and god knows we need it. He should not be our only signing in midfield though and if his wages interfere with signing someone like Ødegaard we shouldn't do it.
