Unless we have a definitive answer re his status as starter or not, then I don't want him to go in Jan unless we already have the replacement starting player in hand.
As it stands IMO he IS the partner to Partey until proven otherwise.

Have seen it suggested any transfer is unlikely, due to the time remaining on his current deal suggesting his club would want a substantial fee.
Reports that Upamecano will leave for 35M this summer. Almost every top club in the world is probably going to try and get him. Hope he doesn't end up in England, although I suspect he likely will 🙁
I've sort of gone cold on him. He could end up being sensational but right now his performances range from 10/10 to 4/10. At £35m I would be tempted though. If Arteta isn't keen we could just give Leipzig Saliba in exchange.
I'm not really keen on dropping £35m on a CB when it seems like we are limited in our ability to spend.

He's also more of a LCB where we are stacked with Gabriel and Mari.
He's an absolutely beast at CB, at 35m it should be a no brainer but we are so stacked and just re-sign Holding I can't see it happening.

We have so many issues in midfield it wouldn’t make sense. We just need to hope Saliba is on the right trajectory
but if chambers, mustafi and Luiz all go, things suddenly look a bit thin. and to be brutally honest, holding shouldn't be a sure thing as a starter. he's back up material imo
We'll still have Mari, Gabriel, Holding and Saliba, all injury free and more ready to contribute hopefully. And that's assuming we even sell Chambers. I would have killed to have that kind of CB depth at most points over the past decade.
