I don't think he has the goal threat to be a wide forward and, unless I've guessed wrongly, I think as Arteta shapes the team moving forward, he'll move toward a 4-3-3 with fast and direct goal threats on both flanks.
Perhaps he would be a better fit as one of the 3 in midfield. He always said he saw himself as a Number 10.
