Either way, they were always going to sell one of them after last season. A few of us have been saying that’s the logical thing for them to do. we should’ve preyed on them.

When Saliba comes, Kos and Sokratis will be gone. It will be just a bunch of kids and maybe Chambers. We will then need to go and buy a mod career player to help raise Holding and Saliba. Should be interesting

Sokratis still has 1 more season to offer as a solid rotational optional beyond this one. Get 1 cb in now, 1 more next summer, and hope holding gets back on track

Sokratis did an interview saying this would be his final season. What you’re saying makes sense but Sokratis complicated life if he wants out. I’d like him to stay while we develop the kids.

I think he means it’s a great window, Clrnc.

It depends on the CB and Tierney (who I haven’t seen play), but we would have addressed the positions we need players in at least. Big if though since three of those players haven’t even been signed.

Still think Tierney is more a probability than a possibility as a result of the Pepe deal structured payments.

But the core strategy would be to get the ball forward and wide asap to utilise our pace.

Unai has been quoted as saying we are looking to add a centreback, a midfielder and a winger. Not sure if Ceballos is the midfielder
