Southampton could come out of this well assuming they don't have pretensions for UEFA cup qualification. They could maintain their mid-table position with £5-10m replacements.

Koeman must have some sort of plan with replacements lined up, otherwise he is in massive trouble. Personally, I think he is in massive trouble anyway, because even if he gets decent replacements in, he still needs to make them play like a team. Southampton look odds on to start the season with 5 or 6 new players expected to have important roles. That can never end well.

Starting to doubt we'll bring in a central midfielder. Pogba won't happen and it looks like Khedira and Schneiderlin are both too expensive. Another year with Arteta and Flamini in central midfield and Giroud up front will definitely ensure we won't win the pl.

I don't think we're converting anyone to anything. I think we'll get rid of Jenkinson and Chambers will be our 2nd choice RB and 4th choice CB.

I've heard a bit about this Dean, but don't really follow the ins and outs - if he says we're after Pogba, well, does he know what the feck he's on about?

He's probably right but "exploring possibility of Pogba" sounds a million steps away from actually signing Pogba. For that reason, I really wouldn't think anything of it. I think we'll get Schneiderlin but it might drag on a bit.

If we were ready to spend what Juve will ask for Pogba we would have done it already, I reckon.
