Me neither. I think there's a massive risk in signing players just because they look good in national teams though, especially in a weak tournament like Copa America. Just look at Leandro Damião. He seemed like the next big thing out of Brazil back in 2013 when he was the same age Everton is now. He just moved to a Japanese club at the age of 29.
Pepe at least has a great season in France to lean on, but I have deep misgivings about that league based on what I've seen over the last couple of years, and I haven't watched him enough to decide if he's actually good or if he's just having an easy time. Ligue 1 allows forward players way too much time and space on the ball. Guys like Fekir, Thauvin and Memphis Depay look like world beaters there but aren't up to code in other contexts. Fekir played like 20 minutes in the World Cup in total, off the back of a season where a lot of people claimed he was world class because he racked up the stats, and Depay couldn't cut it in England despite previously ripping it up in Holland.
