GFFN- Christopher Nkunku has delayed his €15m move to RB Leipzig because "he wants time to think," according to L'Équipe. Newspaper speculates that he's waiting to see if Arsenal's interest in him manifests into a formal bid.

Poor Nkunku will have to wait 2-3 weeks for us to put in a bid, that is 50% smaller then what PSG want.

I think a versatile and athletic player who's tidy enough technically would be a superb addition to the squad. Bonus if he's an actual goal threat.

He'd be our biggest goal threat from CM probably. And at 15m Euros, he'd probably only appreciate in value

I think if the Zaha deal fails and he is still available, we will go for him to play on the wing.
I would like that as we would have a back-up CM better than the nothings like Elneny, Willock and Mkhi.
I hope i'm wrong and we go for him regardless.

You can just picture the deadline day ticker on Sky:

"Breaking: Arsenal have failed in their final £44.5 million bid for Wilfried Zaha. The offer was reportedly £35.5 million less than Crystal Palace's asking price for the player. They then moved on to PSG:s Christopher Nkunku with a £4.5 million bid. This also failed. With hours left of the transfer window they're now investigating the possibility of bringing in Ever Banega on a short-term deal."

Good update from Ornstein on our plans this summer:

Arsenal remain in the market for a player to come straight into the first-team squad in the same position.

Arsenal are also pursuing Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, 22, and additionally hope to recruit a central midfielder and winger.

Meanwhile, former Arsenal midfielder Edu will be confirmed as the club's first technical director imminently.

It entirely depends on the quality of the players that come in, but I'm glad to hear we're still looking at a centreback after Saliba and relieved we are in for a centre midfielder. I had started to fear we were happy with what wehad there.

IF we got good quality in all those positions, plus Saliba amd Martinelli, 'd be very pleased and impressed.
