Watched France's 3 group games and their capitulation to the USA. The more impressive defenders they had were the Marseilles centre back Kamara, and Ndicka who, in this tournament, was functioning as a left back showing off his versatility. He's very good, but definitely not in the class of the other two, some nerves although that might just be a youth thing. The guys you go for for athleticism are Ndicka and playing the ball like a playmaker are Kamara.
But I had mentioned earlier this month that it would make sense for Dortmund to sell one of their young centre backs and replace them with a more experienced centre back. They conceded far more goals than their title-chasing rivals, and Zagadou especially came in for criticism with a few high-profile mistakes as the title chase collapsed.
