I think it's very good at the moment, but you have to be realistic. Inexperienced children aren't going to come in at 18, 19, or 20 and play like seasoned professionals. They can make up for their cluelessness with youthful enthusiasm for short periods of time, but they will get found out. Patience is needed. It does not benefit Nelson to come home and sit on the sidelines any more than it benefits Nketiah at the moment, and it doesn't benefit the club either in the long run.

Agreed - it's one of the reasons as to why AW used to talk a lot about the need to provide development opportunities. The downside was that he did so by giving them playing time as part of the senior squad.

IMO the bolded part is something we've perhaps overlooked to some degree in terms of the likes of Bellerin, Iwobi and those that have gone before them. We've often commented about how badly youngsters used to seem to plateau once they broke into the senior squad, and how players seemed to struggle after they were sold. The lack of coaching in the fundamentals is the obvious answer when we see occasional flashes of inspired brilliance.

He's among their top scorers though. Marginalized by Nagelsmann for whatever reason.

They will definitely make him permanent. He is their best keeper for at least the past 2 decades. 3.5m is cheap but no choice if that was the fee we agree in August.

Would be very surprised if we signed Navas given that Leno has performed quite decently.

Hard to tell from the heavily edited clips but it looks like he has ball control, can dribble and knows how to use his pace to beat his markers which is not Welbecky.
I'm not overly impressed although i agree Auba would be the only one quick enough to keep up.

Feels like we'll all be on his back in a month - his first touch is terrible, as is his passing and crossing. Maybe one for the future, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I like him. I feel we need two wide men brought in. Preferably they’d have different skill sets.

One from Pepe, Sarr, Zaha or Dembele and one from Under, Pavon, or Sancho would be swell

If Ramsey and Özil are sold, in theory that should enough money for a CB and depending how they calculate the wages saved etc, possibly a full back.

In theory we should have money then for a big transfer, undoubtedly it should be a winger.

I also feel, that if we can sell a couple more who perhaps Emery doesn’t rate, another midfielder should come in.
