I’d like him too. How was he with Emery at PSG?

I think he was sold back to Chelsea the season Unai went to PSG.
No thanks. I don't mind getting some more experience in the team but recruiting 3 players over 30 in the back line to add to the 2 we already have is just ridiculous.
i fucking hate david luiz. i dont care how good he is now or how good he was. hes a piece of shit. no.
Completely agree with MD. Fuck this clown.
He was never even that good. He's great on the ball but he's a headless chicken as a defender.
He could probably do a decent job at midfield with Ramsey and Torreira.
I would have him in front of a back four , and as a backup CB. But no more than 22 million , or Chelsea can keep him to warm their bench
i'd take luiz for no more than 10-15m, or even a season loan, if only for the versatility
definitely prefer someone on the younger side, like a soyuncu, pavard, or diallo
Sven and Emery are clearly looking for a CB comfortable on the ball in Luiz or Soyuncu.
Hopefully that means 3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1. I know I am in a minority (maybe even of one) on this forum on this topic, but I really think the 3-4-2-1 suits us way better than any 4 ATB formation with our current personnel (all of Ozil, Bellerin, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Monreal).
I don't think Emery is going back to a three-man defence that he doesn't believe in. He's going to play 4-2-3-1 like he normally does. That's why we're buying players like Torreira right now. You expect him to replace Ramsey in midfield as a more stable pairing with Xhaka. Sokratis is a classic centreback too. You're not gonna drop him into a system where he needs to be more dynamic.
Has he ever played a 3 man defence? It sounds like even switching to a 4-3-3 at PSG was a reluctant choice to accommodate the players wishes.

I agree. Was more stating my opinion rather than any belief that Emery would change to a system that he has probably never favoured earlier. You think Ramsey is going to be sold, Klaus?
I have no idea. He has 12 months left on his contract and there has been no talk of extending. I think he should be sold if they don't sort this out, but it's possible the club would keep him anyway to minimise the turmoil. Just looking at the squad though, Torreira seems to be a straight up replacement.
He's a replacement for cazorla and wilshere in my opinion.
I kinda agree with Klaus - if we are playing a 2 man MF, he could well be a Ramsey replacement with Ozil (backup Iwobi) at #10. Means we need to find a WF though - we have what Mkhi / Welbeck / Nelson for 2 positions? Not enough.

Also a possibility. I doubt Torreira will start next season if Ramsey stays.

There's the Gelson Martins rumours...
This Gazetta dello Sport journalist says Emery wants (Dula's long time man crush) Ever Banega. [Twitter][/Twitter]
