Yeah thats the other thing. I've heard a few people say no pre-season is what messed up Welbecks season yet here we are again, a week before the season starts with just 1 signing.

I'm sure there is constantly something happen but I don't feel like we are seriously trying to get anyone in particular or that we have a couple of positions we're trying to sort out.

It doesn't feel like anything is going but we just don't know in reality. As long as we have at least 1 superstar by the end of the window I'll be happy. I just hope we're not once again going down the route of putting all our eggs in one flimsy basket.

I reckon if a signing happens it will be of the mega CF variety, therefore less, if any, time needed for "integration" during pre-season.
We were never going to sign more than Cech + 1.

I agree but the lack of news isn't indicative of anything. Did anyone see Ozil
coming? And that was our biggest transfer ever!

We're definitely not signing two first team players though, we've never done that unless the club was in a bad state I.e the summer of 2011

Benzema is a no-go unless Real sign another forward.. Draxler is a maybe, but he seems to have fallen out of favor for AW.. (but that could change at a moments notice.. a bit disturbing that he had already reportedly agreed to personal terms with Juve though)

we wont be signing a CM or anyone for the back line IMO.
