I believe the scenarios are similar enough. Both came out to give an interview saying they want to leave Liverpool. Suarez even said he wants to join Arsenal. Then both missed their first training at Liverpool. City forced the rest, we didn't.
Sometimes we are just too gentlemanly in all these transfer dealings. We only wait for opportunities, we don't force the issue enough. It's the same when it comes to selling our players, which is why we don't get sky high prices.
