Surely that is excluding the sign on fee? Sign on fees are usually spread across the contract term, so should really be counted.

Spreading the sign on fee of € 10 m over 4 years adds about 50 k pw to the picture.

I believe the Bayern director. Clubs like Bayern, Barca and Real don't need to give ridiculous salaries to get players to join them. That's why when we sign players from those clubs, we give them a raise.

I believe the Bayern director too, but then € 20 million per year is Christiano Ronaldo territory, almost 400 k pw. Now, what I expect the truth to be, admittedly speculating, is that the reporters have placed the sign on fee as part of the first year salary. Take that 10 m of the top and you've still got close to 200 k pw.

Doesn't matter really what the exact sum is, only matters that I think it very unlikely that he'd get a better deal at Arsenal any time soon.

As with any other player we would already have an idea of how much he'd want were we in talks to sign the player.

well, let's see.
so we say he's getting 150k Euro per week, and has 7.5m euro outstanding from what Bayern promised.

so all wee need to do is pay him what he is owed. we sign him for a 4 year contract. pay him 150k per week + the 7.5m euro which is 38k per week = 188k Euro per week or 133k Pounds per week. that'd be at best our third highest salary.

Possibly, but in my speculation above, the take home per week we would need to match is something like € 250 k pw, which is more like £ 175k pw. Not that that is impossible, especially considering the new TV-deals, but I would imagine the follow on demands from our other players would be significant. I mean, he's not that great, Lewandowski, to justify that kind of salary. At least in my opinion.

Yeah - a man name Memzi had a live stream on Tuesday night where he said we'd sign Benzema or Reus - while he was taking a dump.

So obviously it's a matter of days now.
