If these reports are true it seems like we're trying to bring in another young centre back. Good planning for the future, not sure how it would work for the short term, loan them our right away perhaps?
I wonder what this means for Chambers, if true. He's probably going on loan this season then.
We do need a CB, but one that will walk into the first team. Not another youngster.
Load of bollocks, just Roma trying to up the bids for their player from domestic rivals. There have been countless of similar stories regarding Destro etc.
So since the fake rumours regarding Vidal no rumour has surfaced?
I think there is a higher than 50 % chance that we are done for the summer.
Shame, because similar to 2013/2014 we are only one WC striker away from winning the league.
We were very much interested in Vidal. We ended this interest after his drunk driving scandal in Chile.
madrid signing llorente
benzema to arsenal is on now
Good. Was worried spurs would land Llorente

Right! 😆
If biting and racially abusing people didn't put us off Bitey McRacist, then I very much doubt drunk driving would.

uh yeah.. good point. lol
In the interests of sanity I feel I should point out that drunk driving is a far greater sin that biting and racially abusing someone.

I'd like to think this is the case but it just doesn't add up. At a time when top strikers are rare, the world's richest club signs a 3rd tier striker and then gets rid of a 1st/2nd tier striker, leaving the team with only the 3rd tier striker as a traditional number 9. I find that scenario hard to believe. Real have needed a substitute striker since they foolishly let Morata leave. And Chicharito is back at United this season. So I see them playing Llorente AND Benzema. And Ronaldo is not moving to CF. They'd diminish their scoring ability in this fashion.
It's Real Madrid, you honestly never know. I would never think we would have a chance if Benzema played for any other club in Europe.
The fact that Ronaldo does no defensive work poses a challenge to the way Benitez normally plays. He likes wingers who can put in work. He could adopt his system of course but that issue could also hasten Ronaldo's transition to the 9, which will happen at some point. Perez seems to have handpicked Bale as the #10 so if they bring in Llorente to back up Ronaldo, Benzema will leave. That's the dream scenario I think.
The front part is very much true. Not sure about the back part.

Of course it doesnt. Llorente is a Chicarito replacement as a substitute striker. For Benzema to become available, we need Real to buy a similar level player.
Anyway ... Kike Marin is still adamant, that Benzema might end up as Özil.

He becomes an attacking midfielder that doesn't fancy the physical aspect of the game and always looks for a pass rather than a shot?
Madrid could line up like this
-----------Bale Ronaldo---James---Jese
or
--------Ronaldo Isco----Bale-----James
Either formation leaves Benzema out, and Madrid would still have Isco/Jese knocking to get into the first XI. One can always hope!
Reus to Madrid could be the key in this for us.
