I think Lukaku is more of a sure thing. He's pretty much guaranteed to score over 20 goals a season and has the potential to score 30+.
Balotelli has the potential to score 30 but also could go a season with sub-Giroud numbers. Much bigger risk.
I agree, Lukaku's goalscoring record in the premiership is very impressive. I'd be confident of him scoring regularly and hitting 20 goals.
I really miss having an exciting striker though, and I feel that we haven't had one since Henry (Even RVP, a lot of the flair left his game over the years imo).
Balo might be a bit inconsistent, but he has that X factor which makes him truly entertaining to watch. But then again, if Lukaku's banging them in every week that's obviously entertaining too, everyone loves goals.
