He was good against us when he didn't play Giroud in on goal. Or, he is just super smart and realizes that Giroud doesn't stand a chance in foot race with Tim Howard.
In the end, he is not one of the players I'd be interested in from Everton. Jagielka, Coleman or Barkley on the other hand...
Coleman would be brilliant for us. Not keen on Stones.

Was half hoping we'd be linked. He looks good.
Not sure it would be great for his development to take him away from Everton at the moment, though.
True. Give him a year or two, but he looks to have the basis to move on
He definitely looked like he had something about him to me. I know we never do it, but maybe we could look at trying to buy him then leave him at Everton for another season.
Wenger won't do that after moaning about the loan system tricks!
The Everton defender? Thought he looked like shit against us.
Reminds me of Jenko.

Ditto.
I thought he looked very good. Lot of noises from within Everton about this kid. Apparently Martinez has hold him back a little bit this season to protect his development. Centreback is where his future's at.
He's far better at knowing when to commit himself than jenkinson
Both have good physiques mind
Watched him a couple times this season, the main thing that stands out about him is that he is extremely comfortable on the ball and quite capable of bringing the ball forward, from the back. I think this due to him having played as a right back as well.
If anything, he was too confident against us and took unnecessary risks, although that could be down to inexperience since he’s only 19.
But he is a confident player, he’s scored 2 panenka penalties against Juventus(Pre-season) and Newcastle U21s, not that it means as much, with it being in non-competitive games. But, it still shows confidence in his own ability.
Juventus Panenka
Newcastle U21 Panenka
Thought he was guilty of trying to do too much with the ball against us. Made quite a few stupid mistakes tbh.
Takes stones to take pens like that
I never would have guessed he was able on the ball. Looked clumsy the few times i saw him. Guess I'll try to pay more attention to him next time.
Anyone seen much of Daniele Baselli? Young midfielder for Atalanta. We is linked
As bizarre as it is to say, you could tell Stones was a footballer in that moment he lost the ball and let whoever it was steal it from him. The actual technique he had for maneuvering the ball was impressive and his balance was excellent too. More a bad decision to try and turn his man there, but still impressive execution. Our player just read him.
He's very good tricks. Would love us to get him
