Oh yeah, when I say "the worst" it's strictly in comparison with the rest of the show. It's still good telly but as far as the format goes I think it regressed somewhat. Reminded me of the first season, which also lacked a bit of direction. They weren't sure where they were going and whether it would become a procedural drama or not (and let's face it, procedurals are fucking shit. Only Psych can get away with it). Luckily they decided not to go that way in the end. Season two and three were great because they told continuous stories. It gave them the opportunity to really develop a bunch of characters.
I didn't feel like they did much with the Drew Thompson storyline this year. They set it up nicely and then they just left it hanging until they realised they had to move it on to bring it to a conclusion before the season ended. The twist was pretty predictable too. The best thing about the 4th season was that they fleshed out Tim a bit more but he's still a pretty underused character.
