It's crap, but crap in a good way. There are a lot of middle tier cable shows I struggle to enjoy but I do love Sons of Anarchy. Have this board to thank for getting into it as well (think it was Qs who first used to go on about it).

imo Season 1 is quite shit until the final few eps.
Season 2 is very good.
Season 3 is quite average.
Season 4, which I've nearly finished, is one of the best seasons of t.v I've ever seen.

Season 4 is great but it has the most outrageously bad ending. Wait for it, you'll be disgusted.

Season 5 was a pretty decent return to form with some real plot developments and less bullshit.

Just finished the first season, House of Cards is great, I love the dark tone it's taken on as the season has gone on.

Hmm. My mate keeps telling me to see House of Cards. DL-ing SoA as we speak and since that is a 5 season thing it will have to wait a bit...

It's interesting when you look back at it. Sutter was at the same point where Ryan was at the end of season 5 of The Shield, but instead of going all the way he started to backtrack. It's impossible to respect such a coward. Season 5 had a lot of good episodes - a few great ones, even - but the whole show is fucked now. The ending was a letdown once again too.

Probably better off waiting so at least when you do get around to it they'll be closer to putting up season 2. But it's definitely a good watch, most of the acting is pretty solid but Spacey is great. Evil yet you want him to succeed.

I already knew Clay's fate because I'd read this thread before, but wow what a weak episode.

I mean, for such a pulsating season this is the finale we get served up? :hmm:

To be fair they kind of made up for that by making the Clay stuff good in season 5. Although 5 petered out a bit too.

So. Just watched the first two episodes of SoA season 1. Looks promising!

As Burnsy said, its not amazing by any means, pretty schlocky at times but its incredibly watchable. I think they do a great job of squeezing good actions sequences into every episode. That can't be easy to do when you're trying to tell season long stories.

Wait, I only started season 4. Trying to avoid spoilers, but I couldn't help but catch something above about the season finale and Clay's fate.

The gf has just graduated and is trying to find a job so has a bit of spare time on her hands. She's just got through the first two seasons of Homeland in a week so i've started her on Twin Peaks.

She's not usually a Lynch fan but seems to be really enjoying it so far. Hopefully she manages to stick with it through slow patch during season 2. I'm hoping she knows already that there's no season 3 so she's not too disappointed with the ending. I better tell her just in case.

I never told her there was only two seasons of Carnivale and i got the silent treatment for a week after she asked me to download the third season of it.

Just finished the last episode of Justified. What a great show. This season keeps getting better with every episode.
