I stopped after a few paragraphs. Who says when the drug lords or the smaller dealers buy from Walt they don't cut it with something else?
"Walter is forced to explain to a new organization that customers will pay more for his product than, say, one that was 85 percent pure."
Why would a middleman pay significantly more for a 99% pure primary product if they were going to cut whatever they bought back to 70%? Freight costs on that 15% less mass?
The quote from Stringer Bell in the article is fairly apposite - it's not like the customer base for meth (even as depicted in the show) is discerning. Addicts can't be choosers.
Anyway, it's obviously a massive troll as a critique - you can pretty much guarantee that every white guy in existence who likes Breaking Bad will feel a bit outraged by the "white supremacist" jibe - but I enjoy a fresh critical perspective. The level of adulation of Breaking Bad, good as it is, has become boring.
Trolly articles criticising sacrosanct popular cable shows have become a problematic art form in their own right. I remember when I posted up that "Mad Men is roots for white people" one a while back I got a similar reaction. 🙂
It reminds me of people complaining about how Bruce Wayne got back from that pit in the middle east in TDKR.
Well, TDKR did have a shit screenplay. Is that even up for debate? Anyway, it's not anywhere near the same league as Breaking Bad as an achievement.
