That was first episode of Sherlock that I wasn't overly keen on.

Just about to stick the first series of Breaking Bad into the DVD player. I'm expecting great things!

Yeah. It was so obvious, and there were so few other options, that I really thought there'd be some earth-shattering twist, even a really implausible one. Like "oh yeah your dad's actually still alive, and has been living as a wolf for twenty years" ...

The whole episode was pretty poor. Very disappointing revelation too. It was my first thought when it started. Find it hard that Sherlock wouldn't have considered it right away.

Oh well. Four out of five is a pretty decent success rate so far. Still have very high expectations on this week's season finale.

Watched the pilots for Luck and House of Lies yesterday. Luck was great, reckon it could be absolute top drawer stuff as it goes on, cast includes Dustin Hoffman, Nick Nolte and Michael Gambon. House of Lies wasn't quite in that bracket but I still enjoyed it, Don Cheadle is a great lead and I found it pretty funny over all. Kind of reminded me a bit of Entourage if Ari was the lead and everyone was less friendly.

Breaking Bad just got better and better. Did not want the series to end.

Just a warning, it gets pretty slow a few times over the next two seasons but then comes back with a bang right when you're starting to get annoyed. At least that's what i thought.

Still think the conclusion of season two is the series high point to date. That was incredible TV. I was staring at the screen with my jaw hanging for about three hours.

Having rewatched series 1 of BB recently I don't think any of the slow bits later on that people criticised were as slow as the first series. People just got used to the pace being amped up, especially in series 3.

I can't comment on what happens in later series yet, but in the first series I felt it took a little while to build back up again, after the explosive opening, but it was necessary to tell you about Walt and his life.

By about episode 6 I was hoping I had read the DVD case wrong where it said there were 7 episodes. And when it went off I wanted the second series there and then - which was the effect they were going for I guess.

I think part of the reason series 1 was the way it was a writer's strike in the States- the series was initially supposed to be longer.

That makes a lot of sense actually, because it really left it at a point where you had just settled right into it.

I think the episode called "Fly" is the single best hour of Breaking Bad so far.

Can't pick one favourite episode really but the scene where Walt says "Run" was one of my many favourites. I don't want to spoil it but everyone who watched the series should know what i'm talking about.

Yeah I think that episode and the one before it are pretty much the best for me too. Although the end of series 4 is pretty amazing too but not quite as well constructed.

Fly is brilliant too though, I don't think I've ever seen a bottle episode done like that before. Its so tense.

Finished watching all 4 seasons of breaking bad over the last 4 days , pretty chuffed with myself.
