Anyone watch True Blood? Watched the first episode and it seemed a bit stupid and thrashy. Should i ditch it?

It became unbearable during season two but I watched all the way through season three for my sins. Quite an awful show by then. Shame, because the cast was ok.

Its definitely a show for girls. Its about a really annoying bitch that moans all the time. She has to pick between different lads who in reality wouldn't be able to put up with her for 5 minutes. The lads are also unbearable and just talk about their emotions continuously. Theres no real relationship or common ground between the characters just deep deep emotions and long stares between sentences. I watched about 10 episodes with my other half she likes it so i have to make annoying comments about the show so she doesn't watch it with me.
Just as there about to kiss i ask if that makes her a necrophiliac because the vampire is dead. Or something about the vampire being 200 year old perv chasing after 18yr old virgins.

Really? I gave up on it because all the over-emotional creeps in it reminded me excessively of my mates. 😉

Did one series of True Blood, didn't want to watch much more of it. At least I didn't waste as much time on that as I did Dexter.

Got one episode of Fargo left (I think). I was very dubious about this, but have loved pretty much every minute of it. Some brilliant acting from Billy Bob and Alison Tollman and Martin Freeman have been revelations. Love the way certain sequences have been directed too.

I'm loving the Island flashbacks this season too, really developing the back story. Could almost make a whole series out just that.

Anyone watch The Americans? Seems to have good reviews but not seen it mentioned in here.

Finally watched the latest season of Justified. Pretty good overall, especially with Avon Barksdale making an appearance. Thought it got a little messy towards the end though. The 'set up' to next season doesn't appeal to me at all.

I was bugging up the Americans a few pages back. 2 nld season just aired and IMO one of the very best shows this year.

I loved season 1 of the Americans which we actually got here as a rare same day broadcast only a couple of hours behind the US. But the owners of that network went bust and we lost Fox shows for the time being so haven't got around to downloading season 2 yet. Will probably get to it after the World Cup.

Just finished The Blacklist. Great series. Explosive start, them ambled along a bit until episode 8/9 then went from strength to strength. Really explosive finale too. Every scene is worth watching for James Spader alone.

I think it's okay. I hate that there's always a "villian of the week", though.
