It's okay. 3/5. You can tell that Showtime have put a lot of money into it. The production values are very high and Timothy Dalton is awesome. The second and third episode got a bit boring though, maybe because all of the characters (bar one) are surprisingly uninteresting. It has a lot to live up to if you've ever read League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and so far it doesn't compare well. The potential is there though. I'll keep watching for the rest of the season.

The first season of Heroes was awesome. Had a very unique feel to it. Shame they had to ruin it. Hopefully Heroes Reborn will be as good as Heroes at its best.

Thanks for that tip, not heard of that one. Although the below from Wikipedia puts me off a bit.

Have you seen Nikita, Invis? Very underrated show. You seem to like the same series as I do. I think it's excellent. The picture they use on IMDB is horrible though. She never looks that ridiculous in the show, it's probably to attract male viewers or something.

Don't know if it's on Netflix, but Qs recommended both Deadwood and Friday Night Lights. Deadwood was brilliant and only 3 seasons, and FNL seems a top show too. If you haven't watched Hannibal, then you should; that is da shit.

It was only an unresolved cliffhanger when you didn't know if it was coming back or not. As an final episode it makes perfect sense as an ending.

Rectify is on Netflix now too and its amazing if you like slow southern gothic drama.

Second season of Arrow is awesome. Watched episode 16 last night. It's building up to a massive climax. Also, Armageddon expo in Wellington over the coming weekend - kind of a comic/sci-fi/fantasy type convention where celebrities from various shows and movies attend. Diggle, Deadshot and Slade Wilson all going be there this year and doing Arrow panel discussions and Q&A etc.

Absolutely. There's a (small?) connection between the two. But more than anything you should watch it because it's a great film. One of the Coens' best.

It's very good, but perhaps not really one of their best ... not sure it scrapes into my top five Coens films. They've made an awful lot of decent films.
