Yeah. Its a weird mix of Irish crime drama and Entourage trying to imitate Sopranos(?). Would even say a little bit like GTA as TV show. They attempted to throw in a little bit noir element also at times.
Anyway, whatever it is, its a bit of a mess for me. During first 5-6 episodes i was hoping they settle down on something, but it kept going exactly the same. Wife is annoying and clearly copying Carmela from Sopranos, but in a bad way. Kids are retarded as always, especially the boy. That movie star who likes to fuck trannies is so over the top ridiculous that its not even funny. Brothers felt a bit flat also, just too one dimensional. Elliot Gould bored me from minute 1 with the same neurotic jewish stuff he has been doing for years now. Not to mention his sidekick Lee who was meant to be like Ari Gold at first? And yeah, Jon Voight ... im just dissapointed that he was nominated for this. The only characters i enjoyed were Rays sidekicks Avi and Lena.
