I asked before if any of you had seen The Good Wife, and since no one replied I assume no one has. Anyway, I checked it out and I have to say, I like it. A lot even. As a drama series a few on here said Six feet under was worth checking out, and I did. I think I watched the first 3 seasons or so, but got bored with it. The Good Wife is a lot better IMO and well worth seeing.

i liked vikings. not classic by any stretch, but worth watching. could've sworn the main guy was jax teller, only realised once i'd finished the season that it wasn't.

I see season 2 of The Americans starts today. Really liked season 1 and we even got a rare same day broadcast on TV for it too, but the company behind that network has since gone bust so we've lost Fox shows in NZ for the time being so will download this.

Am 4 episodes into The Blacklist and enjoying it so far. James Spader continues to be awesome.

Wouldn't mind Walton Goggins as lead on season two of #TrueDetective. Doubt it'll be in a southern setting again though.

Last nights episode of The Americans was brilliant, easily my current favourite show; starting from where they left off in series one superbly.

Wife made me start watching Desperate Housewives with her a while back, I have to say it's pretty good, gets a good few laughs out of us and the plots are interesting enough.

Kids, sometimes you have to put your foot down and be men. It only took me 2 seasons of The Borgias to exclaim to my spouse that I was done with that incredibly tedious and boring show.

See how well that has worked out for me...

What!!!! I agree on 6 but 4 and 5 were brilliant. 4 is easily the best episode so far.

We alternate, I pick a series, then she picks one. Democracy, equality, etc.

I picked Game of thrones and breaking bad, she's picked desperate housewives and Grey's anatomy.

I don't really mind, I get to watch stuff that is actually quite good, but I definitely wouldn't have started watching it on my own.

The show isn't even all that feminine anyway, it's not like they sit around talking about their cycles. It just happens to be one of the few shows that have women as the lead actors. So really Rex, Timbo and Flo are just a group of sexist pigs.

Yep, I'm with you Qs. 4 was genius and 5 had some seriously excellent monologuing for Cohle before the showdown.

I was hoping for a deepening of the cosmic horror element in 6, but it didn't really progress anything much in an interesting way—most of its plot points had been being conventionally foreshadowed for several episodes already.

Two episodes left for Fukunaga and Pizzolatto to make this a classic.
