I'd be fine with that, I love Varys. Mind you Jaime and TV series Daenarys are great too.

Have any of you been watching season 2 of The Bridge on BBC4? It's been fantastic. Men in pigs masks, Saga masturbating with her boyfriend's mother in the next room, Martin seemingly neutered by the death of his son and a plot that keeps hinting at tying things together, but not quite getting there just yet.

And it all looks beautiful.

Can't recommend the first two episodes of 'True Detective' highly enough. HBO's next big thing. The acting, writing, cinematography... scarily good. Where was Matthew McConaughey hiding his acting chops all these years??

He's always been a pretty good actor in my opinion. He just picks terrible films. No one can blame him for making the odd Reign of Fire now and then because Reign of Fire was awesome, but Fool's Gold? The Wedding Planner? Failure To Launch? We are Marshall? The bloke has no right to still have a career after that grand slam.

McConaughey is doing pretty well for himself at the moment isn't he?

He was awesome in Mud, good in his cameo in Wolf of Wall Street and from what I hear he's great in both True Detective and Dallas Buyer Club. He's also the lead in the new Nolan film.

McConaughey has had a pretty sterling career when you look back at it. Fair bit of sludge in there, but even the romcoms with Kate Hudson weren't that unbearable.

Apparently he's really sound.

Having said that, the only things I've liked him in are Dazed & Confused and A Time to Kill. He’s the same in basically every role. Eligible Matthew McConaughey (times x30). Surly Matthew McConaughey. Wall Street Matthew McConaughey. Psycho Matthew McConaughey. He’s like a Ken doll. You can give him different outfits but they’re all just slight variants on the original template.

Got On Demand working fully on sky. Was really looking forward to it thinking i'd have boxsets of The Wire and The Sopranos etc but nope, most of the Sky Atlantic stuff isn't on it. Gutted.
