On another note. Just finished season 4 of Justified. First couple of seasons were ok but far from great but since then the show has really taken off IMO. Timothy Olyphant doesn't get as much attention as he should. He's great.

I felt the same with regards to season 1 and 2 and hence why I have never gotten around to watching season 3 or 4. But I'm going to give that another go given the rave reviews.

Yep. Dont think it was too long after it was planned on airing that it was up for download.

I read somewhere that Fuller wants the series to run 7 seasons haha. Pretty ambitious for someone who can't get anything to last more than 2 or 3 seasons.

Yeah, it's available online. Stupid move to not air it in retrospect. It had a few scenes which proved to be important.

Rating took a big dip after that too.

7 seasons is a bit ambitious for a show that was very lucky to be renewed. Still stranger things have happened at NBC.

I'd agree with that. I thought it was a great season of tv. Enjoying 4 atm, seems to be a lot more going on than in season 3- which was also pretty great.

I wasn't a huge fan of season 2. Didn't really buy any of the stuff with Boyd. I can't remember the other reasons.

Season 3 has been great so far.

I thought all the stuff with the Bennetts was brilliant. Its that second season that really gave the show an amazing sense of place.

Yeah, particularly when nothing Fuller has ever done has lasted for more than two seasons. Apparently the show is owned by some third party production company though. The producers had several other offers on the table if NBC had decided to pass on the US broadcasting rights. It sounds encouraging. Maybe they can get another two seasons out of it and wrap up the prequel material. I'm not too fussed about the Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs storylines anyway. They've been done to death already.

If it managed to get a decent audience next year I could see NBC really wanting to push for a Silence of the Lambs season. The hype for it would be massive.

I think there's some kind of rights issue though, I read about it in an interview a few months ago. Apparently the showrunners have the right to use any character that originated in Red Dragon, but the character rights to Silence of the Lambs are owned by MGM and they don't want to share. Unless they change their mind it would have to be a Silence of the Lambs version without Clarice Starling and Buffalo Bill (though Lecter would still be in it). It's still 3-4 years away though so who knows what will happen.

At the moment I'm just looking forward to season 2. It's been rumoured that David Bowie will play the recurring character of Lecter's uncle.

Yeah I watched the first two last night. It's class. So visually interesting. The only thing that really bothers me about it is Mads Mikkelsen's accent; I find it a little hard to understand at times.

Oh, and the show is fucking graphic. The mushrooms, UGHHHHHHH.

Found it difficult to begin with too but you get used to it. It's intentional apparently. Lecter is supposed to be from some Baltic country.

No point watching stuff you don't really like.

The Borgias gets better and better. I felt indifferent towards it for the first season and a half to. I was watching it to kill time between season of shows i liked. But it really explodes and the story line becomes great. I love it now.
