Heh, it was a bit tongue in cheek really. It actually screens here only a day or so late but on an extra pay channel I don't want to pay out for, will just be ages until it screens on free TV (which is how I watched season 1, then borrowed a friend's blu-ray for season 2). Will probably just hire the blu-ray when it comes out and watch it all over 1-2 weeks. Thanks for the link.

Will start watching GoT eventually. In the middle of series 2 of Breaking Bad at the minute and loving it so will probably finish that first although it will take me a while.

Been watching the Office (UK) again lately - that goes down as one of the best comedy series i've seen. So good.

Can't watch GoT, feels so fucking budget compared with the books.

Tried to start Revolution tonight - that's terrible as well.

Finished Sons of Anarchy Season 5.

Highlights:

Episodes 1 & 3. This show can be so tense and brutal when it wants to be. We need to see more of that as opposed to some of the trivial bullshit that goes on.
Tig's storyline. It was worked very well. Put on the backburner during the middle of the season, but it made sense, and the resolution was good, although I guessed what would happen.
Jax's ruthlessness. It's a great direction for him, but occasionally balanced out with moments where he redeems himself. It's still too soon for him to become Clay.

Low points:

Nero's storyline feels like too much of a distraction. I like him, but struggle to really care at times.
Gemma and Tara. It's going in circles and is so tedious now. Wouldn't care if both suffered a bullet to the head, even though I like Tara. It's infuriating when compared to stuff like Pope's storyline.
The subplots are really distracting and ruin the feel of the show. The stuff with Joel McHale's cameo and Jemma for example. Sometimes this show veers too far into family drama territory.

I liked how the fates of so many big characters were constantly up in the air, but this show too often digresses from the most interesting issues.

Good summary. Think I agree with everything you said there. It's still irritating that the show continues to squib its main conflict, but they skirted resolution much better in S5 than they did in S4.

Bloody hell, just noticed falling skies is into season 3. How they hell did they manage to pull that off? Season 1 was awful. I just assumed it was cancelled.

I think Falling Skies is ok. Though I can't remember if I finished season 2.

It was cancelled for like two years, otf.

I hated the first season, or the episodes I managed to get through of it anyway. Many have said that it has gotten much, much better since then though. Is it worth picking up again?

What do you mean it was cancelled for 2 years? Its only been on 2 years, this is the 3rd year of it.

Guess not. Just dug out the final episode, which was ok from memory, and the final scene did open up a whole new angle. I had forgotten who the lead actor was, for some reason I mixed him up with the lead actor from flashforward, probably why I'm remembering it to be so awful.

Might give second season a try.

Gave it a try. Not too bad actually, watchable though not great.

Just watched all of The Fall in the space of a week. Great to see Gillian Anderson again, though I suppose Jamie Dornan was the real revelation of this show.

A bit disappointed by the (non) ending, but had realised from about 20 minutes in, it wasn't going to conclude as you'd expect. Very pleased to see a drama like this on the BBC anyway.

The Returned is supposed to be good - I've missed the first couple of episodes but think I'll catch up this week.
Features a revivified serial killer called Serge in one if it's plot lines.
Very creepy and mysterious throughout.

It was decent enough. Agree that Dornan was excellent. Helped that he had pretty much the only interesting character in the whole show. Anderson was good too, thought she saved a very typical, one dimensional TV cop character. Not sure why they needed all the corruption stuff though. I really hope they can tie that into the main narrative in the next season.
