Has anyone looked at the outrights for the Euros yet? I checked Unibet this morning and they have some decent bets on offer. I think there's money to be made off the Golden Boot in particular:

  • They offer 16.00 on Giroud. He's not very well-liked on here at the moment, but he'll start for France and they have the easiest group in the tournament. They're heavy favourites no matter who they face in the round of 16 too. They're practically guaranteed to get at least 5 games. He tends to perform for the national team too. Griezman (12.00) is interesting too, but I think he's going to be used deeper to support Giroud up front so I'm staying off that one.

  • Jamie Vardy is 41.00 times the money. I'm putting a tenner or two on this one. He's just having that kind of season. I think England will have a good tournament and there are plenty of opportunities to score in the group. I expect him to walk away with a brace against Russia.

  • Müller is the betting favourite (for obvious reasons) and sits at 8.00. Germany will probably go far and he'll be one of their top scorers.

I'm not a fan of the heavy hitters this tournament. Ronaldo tends to disappoint on national level even if Portugal have an easy group. I don't expect him to score beyond the group stage. Ibrahimovic will probably perform but he plays for an absolute dogshit team. He'll be lucky to walk away with 2-3 goals again. Costa is useless for Spain. And Lewandowski plays for Poland so he goes away too.

Awwwwwwwww yeeeeaaaaahhhhhh a betting thread! This way, I can lose money with friends 🙂

Olly is my favourite too, but I'm going to have to give it some more thought. Suspect he'll be the penalty taker in addition to first-choice centreforward.

I really think the Vardy bet is worthwhile though. He's going to start for England, isn't he?

Not guaranteed and if he does it will most likely be wide. Kane is Numero Uno and I doubt even Roy is dopey enough to go 4-4-2.

Btw - saw you mention him above, but Costa didn't even make the provisional squad for Spain.

I really have no idea how England will line up, going to be tough to make a choice between vardy, Kane, sturridge, and Rooney. I fear that Hodgson will try and shoehorn all of them into the team, playing vardy on the wing. He did it in one or two friendlies apparently.

😆 That overweight piece of shit only has himself to blame too. I didn't even check the squads. I just looked at the odds list and he's in there as one of the outside favourites.

I don't think it's a tough choice at all, Vardy pisses on everyone in that list especially in a setup like England's. Trust Woy to fuck it up though and field all four at the same time.

Might take a flyer on Portugal, easy as piss group and they still have Ronaldo and Pepe who haven't declined too much yet.

Italy doesn't look bad in terms of value on money as well, they're a decent striker away from being as talented as France/Germany and neither of those sides are going to play a decent #9 either

Italy are missing Marchisio and Verratti though

Gonna hold off Vardy until the friendlies at least. I can't work out how England will line up.

I reckon he definitely will, with griezmann + 1 on the flanks.

Interesting. I'd definitely play Griez up top and Martial and Payet/Coman on the flanks. If Giroud plays it's a decent bet.

I would rather play Gignac on top than Giroud.

Vardy was out wide against turkey yesterday, not a good sign for his golden boot prospects.

Some unappealing games today. I'm not touching the 1X2 bets. England are the only ones who look like clear favourites to me and they always invent new ways to disappoint.

The better bets seem to be on goalscorers at the moment. Vardy is 3.40 to score any time against Russia, for instance. I'm all over that. They're a really dodgy team and will struggle with his pace.

On second thought I'm holding off that bet for now. It seems like Vardy might not start tonight.

I have money on Slovakia Wales being a draw.
