I forgot our structure is a little bit different these days, so right to point out Edu doesn't handle that side.
We don't generate enough through player sales and we don't generate enough through commercial revenue. It's a relevant point to me, not 'doesn't have anything to do with anything'. The point was also about the ideal business model, and what values I would want to prescribe to the model.
Tottenham are not successful. They generated 48 million pounds more than Arsenal in commercial revenue last year and I am reluctant to attribute that to how they've solicited out their stadium. Still yes, success on the pitch catalyses everything. Hence the expectation to now leverage that heading into the off season and yes broadcast and match day revenue should increase with CL qualification. Outside player perceptions should be up. Whether it's all upon Edu on player sales, or someone else in a senior role.
Tottenham, Wolves, Fulham all generated as much or way more revenue through player sales than Arsenal in the summer.
Its something to work on, not brush under the carpet nor to riot about.
