Arsenal want 'significant discount'

I can believe this.

Worth keeping him around after all then....

Not sure where he'd fit with Özil in the team. Could play him wide right or left but is that really going to be good for him or us?

if we play a 4-3-2-1 he fits in the 2, but that assumes alexis plays up top on his own

not an insignificant question this. i think he's a tremendous talent, but he wouldn't be my first buy when the two decent forwards we already have both prefer to be 10s.

Make Ospina first choice next season in that case. Just get this done.

He'll be brilliant wide.

I'd love to sign him, can't see it happening though

He'll be brilliant wide.

Would he really though? Maybe individually he'd be good but would he work well as part of a proper functioning and balanced team? I think he's too slow, too static and comes to the ball too much in order to really improve the team more than a proper wide player would. He'd score goals because he's brilliant and has a left foot to die for but when he's not scoring goals he'll be clogging up the centre of the pitch and stepping on Özil's toes, struggling to find room to unleash that rocket shot of his.

I wouldn't say no because he's a brilliant footballer but there are others that might be available that I'd look to first.

Great player but not what we need unless Özil leaves.

We need a world class #9, not another world class #10.

-----------Morata
Alexis----Ozil----James
------Xhaka-Wilshere
Nacho-Kos--Manolas-Bellerin
------------Cech

We'd get the biscuits

Exactly how I see it.

He'll be brilliant anywhere you put him, Ricky. No need to overanalyse it. He'd be one of the top 3 players in the league immediately if he came here.
