you and i both know that wenger is out of step with the market. he has paid current market value for 2 players (ozil and alexis) in the last decade. just about every other signing has been from the bargain rack
True but, those two came in two successive, recent summers and we thought there'd probably be another last summer. Given our income and our history of expenditure since the latest TV rights deal and the Puma deal, I reckon we're due a £40m signing even in Wenger terms.
