Riyad Mahrez
We need to get Mahrez - he's quality. Can turn players inside out in a crowded box. The type of box we tend to face
Mahrez is box office so expect we will be in for him and will fail with our 'value' bid.
Not sure signing any players will make a difference when we have had all sort for a decade and still achieved the same level in the league and Europe.
Mahrez is sure to be the subject of transfer speculation this summer, but the 25-year-old has ruled out joining Paris Saint-Germain and insisted that his future lies in England. โEven today I am not too excited about the prospect of PSG. It is my town, but I do not see myself going back. I donโt really want to go back to France. France does not really excite me, I love England.โ
dula you make a good point about his ability in tight spaces. he has a knack of magicking things up in heavy traffic
He's brilliant. Composed finisher too. I fear it's too late for us to get him. Looks like a big upgrade on Jesus Navas to me...
Hes a Wenger player no doubt but will we have a Wenger team much longer?
he's about to win a premier league title in a non-wenger manner. he's an any manager player. don simeone would love a player like him who had to fight for everything he has.
This guy's a wonderful player, and works in the areas where we desperately need some extra quality. He would be a really good signing, even accepting in advance he's probably just had the best season of his career and will be slightly less insanely dynamic in future.
I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts on how we'd line up if we signed him and didn't upgrade at centre forward though.
I'd be so fucking mad.
It'd just be more of the same.
Plus our style too. Isn't efficient/effective. Got to change.

Well we'd have giroud dropping deep looking to get the ball into feet, Sanchez coming inside looking for the ball, mahrez coming inside looking for the ball, ozil in the congested spot as well or out on the wing doing fuck all because it's the only place with any space. Ramsey would probably completely abandon the midfield and run into the congested area just in front of the box, joining the rest of the retards. We probably have 5 players within 10 yards of each other by now, with bellerin and monreal playing dangerously high on the flanks, and mert and kos standing somewhere in the centre circle with acres of space behind them. One of our donkeys can't control the ball and loses it, allowing the other team to counter while everyone is out of position after pussyfooting about at the edge of their box for an age.
going for mahrez and kante would show just how far gone wenger is. these used to be the types of players we unearthed, now we want to sign them after seasons they will likely never replicate again?
this club is at a really low/dark place now if these paper rumors are true
It's all just wish list MD if they are sold it will be way above Wengers valuation.
Really, MD? Signing Mahrez and Kante would show that we are in a dark place? Just how many superstars has Wenger actually unearthed? His good players have typically been proven performers. The guys like Fabregas are not the norm. I would be elated if we bought one of these two guys.
He's better than every forward at the club bar two (one of whom may leave). Of course it would be a good signing.

if we don't sign a striker, i'd prefer trying alexis in the middle over giroud or welbeck next season
but that opens up the problem of who plays left wing
ffs wenger
Why would he leave the league champions to come to us? Why would any of them leave when they have just won the league and are in the CL next season?
We'd triple his wages and he'd play for a bigger club with realistically a better chance at further success? I'm just guessing though.

because players usually make their big move when their stock is highest. he could struggle or get hurt next season and be in far less demand
