City signed Sane for 30m, Chelsea signed Kante, who was just as important for Leicester, for 30m. United signed Mkh fora similar amount. Just because some clubs have gone batshit crazy (or in Everton's case, have lots of money but no one of real quality to spend it on), doesn't mean players are suddenly worth loads more.
Mkh is 2 years older and not as good, but that was a good price for him. Sane has it all to prove and Kante had a release clause. Its not just Everton who are "batshit crazy". Chelsea spent £33m on Batashuayi, Liverpool £34m for Mane, United £100m for Pogba, £75m for Higuain, etc Prices being asked for guys like Lukaku and Morata are around the £60m mark.
And none of those players are coming off the back of a season as good as Mahrez, not even Pogba (Higuain excepted). 25 year old PL POTY. £50m would be a decent price. Especially given our needs and our misses already this window.
