For sure, but Dany won't take two seasons to take the Iron Throne. The way the deck is stacked her way it probably won't take two episodes. And we will have the King In The North and The Dragon Queen combining their forces to defeat The Night King. A bit predictable but hey, it's been a cool journey.

Odds are that the walkers will break the wall before she even gets to King's Landing though. It's always been looming over the narrative, the way these people are so busy fighting over power and territory when both their system of government and their race are at the flashpoint of their existence. I wouldn't bet on too many people still standing when everything is said and done; probably not enough to make the iron throne really matter at any rate. It has always felt like a MacGuffin.

Yep. You'd think the Lannister and Stark conflict will be overwhelmed first by the meeting of Jon and Dany's prophesied forces, and then by the ensuing world conflict, whatever it is.

My guess is that the Lannisters will become choric and tragic figures, expended for emotional impact at key moments in the denouement.

There were a few leaps in time like that, such is the explosion in Kings Landing and Lady olenna meeting in Dorne right after talking about her dead grandkids.

Anyway, I though it was a good episode and has set it up nicely for next season.

Arya's scene was my favourite, was half expecting to see Eric Cartmen behind the mask.

One explanation is that she met in Dorne. right after the explosion, the other is that it didn't happen right after.

I'll rather accept that everything on the show isn't happening at the exact same time than spending a season on characters travelling from one place to another. Although I must admit the use of Varys in this episode was distracting.

i wonder if cersei will be taken out before or after the walkers make their final push
