This is a 'nothing to lose' tie for me.

No real pressure on us either, in actual fact this makes us very, very dangerous against them.

Think we may surprise a few people.

Have to win at home to have any chance of going through but our attack is meh. First time we're facing them without a top quality striker. It's going to be ugly.

I really don't see the thrill of winning one leg if we can't get through. I'll be cheering for us as I always do but I'll be more excited for the Hull replay.

Do you not feel the goosebumps when you rewatch the 2-1 victory? It is still the best night Emirates has witnessed so far.

Not at all. I dont care about it because we didn't finish the job. A 2 legged tie is its own thing and for me to look back on that and feel goosebumps would be like watching a game where won the first half but ultimately lost and feeling excited about it.

If we win the first leg i'll probably get my hopes up for the second but if we lose that then i wont remember the first leg as some great victory. Teams will accept a 2-1 defeat in a CL first leg. They dont push on for the draw the way they would in a regular game.

id play a defensive 4-3-2-1

bellerin - kos - chambers - monreal
ramsey - coq - elneny
welbeck - ozil
giroud

you need 3 central midfielders to form a line in front of the back 4. i would keep mert out of this match. they will pose no aerial threat. i would prefer chambers (or gabriel)

ramsey - coq - neny across the middle should provide workrate and industry and hopefully can cut off service to their front 3. welbeck/giroud are incredibly hard working and will track back to help defend. and ozil is capable of providing the one key ball we need.

sit back. keep a clean sheet at home. maybe grab a late one ourselves. the away leg is going to be incredibly difficult, if we keep a home clean sheet then at least we dont have to worry about the away goal rule

The story is missing a bit, in full he said "don't go to Arsenal, the Liverpool fans love you now and they'll accept you moving abroad but when I tried to go to London they burned effigies of me outside Anfield and threatened my family, wait for Barca"

Our only chance of getting through is to win the home tie, no question about that. If the FA cup team is anything to go by, this team pretty much picks itself. We are more likely to concede that score and personally I'd like to see a radical 4-4-2 to compensate for our blunt attack. Push Theo up top with Giroud, narrow the midfield and the get the full backs to play as wing backs and the result is magically clear. 5-2 to Le Arse.
