I know it's not a fashionable thing to say but I wonder what Wenger would do against this Barcelona side with Boateng, Lahm, Alaba, Thiago, Douglas Costa, Muller, Robben, Lewandowski.
Man oh man, we need to find a way to get some world class players into this squad...
I'd turn that on its head Rick, I wonder what any half decent manager (an Ancelotti a Hiddick a Simone a Ranieri) would do with our players.
We have plenty of world class players and a world class chump for a manager.

Football has never really been quite as it is now - so few great players playing for only three clubs. And that's it. It's hard for me to really blame Wenger with that in mind. He can do better but everyone not in Madrid, Barcelona and Munich are in just about the same boat.
That is really nonsense you've got it all arseways there are great players at all the top clubs, true not all them are successful at the moment but that is down to bad management and the fate of their teams they would still command a large transfer market fee if sold.
And the team that sits on top of the PL is not even noted for their players, fact is that players become top players by becoming successful.
Madrid and Barcelona have accumulated all the best Hispanophone players because political and financial corruption has gifted them their positions and Bayern are simply the best run club in the world but all of them demand the utmost success from their management and players- Thats the difference between them and us, we just exist to enrich our owner who tolerates a tactically incompetent manager so long as the profits keep rolling in, thats his idea of success.
Ancelotti would do fuck all more than Wenger with this team. Ranieri I can't even take seriously as a suggestion. Simeone maybe, but I doubt it. I reckon he'd have to clear half of the little boys that currently fill the squad and spend a fortune getting some real quality and experience into the club in order to play his brand of football. And I personally wouldn't want to watch a Simeone team every week because I think they're really really boring. Then again, we aren't much more fun to watch but at least we actually try to play some good attacking football and entertain, even if we don't pull it off much these days. The will is there if not the quality. Managers like Simeone and your favourite Jose don't care if the fans go home with their eyes bleeding because the football was so fucking boring so long as they get the desired result. Na, I'll take the Wenger, Klopp, Clough approach thanks and try and win with a bit of class and with a responsibility to try and entertain the fans wherever possible.
The fact is we need players that are as good as what the best three teams have and we can't get them because they're not there. Nobody can get them, not even PSG or City with all their corrupt money. There was one available this summer, his name was Petr Cech and guess what we did get him.
I'm not excusing Wenger for not bolstering the squad in the summer - Flamini, for example, still being at the club shames Wenger and the those that run the club every single time he steps on the pitch - but I can't hold it against him that he didn't get us the top players that we so desperately need to make us a clear level above the likes of Leicester, City or Spurs or turn results like last night's into victories because they're not there. Until someone breaks the monopoly of the big three we've all just got to feed off their scraps.
Bayern, well run? They're just as corrupt as immoral as Barca and Real. Otherwise they wouldn't be where they are. They buy and cheat and backhand their way to maintaining their position just as much as the Spanish cheats do.
