Think £15 million is a steal personally. He has looked sharp at Palace. I don't like Spurs getting him. There's a bit of Ronaldo pre the physical transformation about him.

He's nearly 24 though. I don't see anything like Ronaldo's intelligence or finishing ability at the same age. He's very quick and has decent-ish technique, but I don't see potential for much to improve at this point. He would have made strides by now if he was going to.

Barcelona has their strongest squad ever. They have signed Digne (21m), Gomes (55m), Cillessen (15m), Umtiti (25m), Suarez (4m). PSG spent 73m on 4 players.

They quiet one is Madrid. They only bought back Morata and recalled some other young players from loan like Asensio.

That said, all 3 of them have an already strong squad.

what he's referring to is the lack of a domino effect that he was probably foolishly waiting for. the domino effect never happened because the one big transfer was money from United to Juventus and into a blackhole at Napoli. nobody else created a transfer money multiplier. i imagine Wenger sat around waiting for, e.g., Real to buy Lewandowski/Aubameyang, and then to immediately dump one of Benzema, Morata, James. that's the quiet he's referring to.
