He's intending to get rid of Caballero

Could also see Barca going for Ospina as a result of this.

He'd be cheap (Though we should be looking to easily at least double or triple the 3m we paid) and is a spanish speaker.

Think Barca will use the 20m fee and the little extra they have to fund a replacement GK and a cheap backup to MSN.

So Ter Stegen is leaving Barca due to not playing as much as he likes, and will join with to fight it out with Hart at City?

Unless he's been given the promise of first team football by Pep, then this is just another non story. We shall see though.

Liking this rumour. Ter Stegen is undoubtedly top drawer with the ball to his feet and has great reflexes but he's very error prone and he'll probably struggle with EPL hoofball tactics.

Di Marzio also saying City are close to getting Laporte.

Indeed. He's had a serious injury though the last week.

He's out until late July/early August. Could still sign him regardless.

Serious stuff this from City.

It was only ever going to be this way once they snared Guardiola.

They'll spend ludicrous money this summer.

I wonder how many homegrown players they have right now.

They have an exceptional youth system so they could bulk it up with that and then have 15 or so top class players.

I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of their youth players get some big chances in the first team under Pep either. They've got some big talent.

Yeah, pretty likely that a couple of youth players will make the grade under Guardiola. They're constantly signing highly rated kids from La Liga, very unlikely that Guardiola would let someone like Denis Suárez (who'd play a big role for City even now) slip through his fingers like Pellegrini has.

Yeah. Nacho is a real talent and is probably going to be one of the best strikers in the league in future. He has everything.

Faupala and Garcia is the others to watch.

If Ter Stegen comes, Hart will go. Ter Stegen will be looking for assurances about playing time or else he wouldn't leave Barca, and Hart has a big ego. Tottenham or Liverpool likely destinations I would think, or United if Madrid can land De Gea.

Think there's something to the rumour, Hart is bang average with his feet and playing out of the back is essential to how Pep likes his teams to play

skysports.com say Chelsea in talks for Manolas and Pjanic.

I remember when we were close to signing Manolas. Another one to add to Wenger's nearly men?

It's annoying enough to hear him say he was too slow for Kante because we had Flamini and Arteta at that time, and now he says we didn't move for Payet because we have got plenty of players in his position, then proceed to name check irrelevant players like Ramsey, Wilshere who doesn't even play in the same position.

The story was that Manolas chose Roma over us. Probably because of the Greek players that was there at the time so Wenger is excused on that one.

If a player chooses Roma over Arsenal, then my take on it is that the Arsenal representatives aren't doing a very good job.

Well if he chose Roma over us because of their Greek players there was not much to do. They could probably also offer guaranteed first team football which we could not at the time.
