Yes let's waste another season on a experiment especially on a player who'll have practically no pre-season again and needs a long rest at the moment.

Or let's spend some actual money on a position where we've needed a player for years.

Incredible sums? This is the reality of the market. If most clubs are doing it then the only foolish club is the one who does nothing.

We have not spent money on a top forward since Bergkamp/Henry. That's two decades. It's about time we swallow our pride and drop the duckets. We've put ourselves in a desperate situation and now must spend. 60m should be seen as the target spend given the gravity of the situation

There's no one available out there even anywhere close to Bergkamp or Henry's level of ability, not even in terms of potential. That is the clear problem.

You say spend the big money, now say who? Genuinely can't think of THE guy.
