He's had a couple terrific seasons now. Can't believe no one else tried to activate that release clause.
This probably means Pogba is off. The only question is where to.

Real Madrid probably. At least that was the talk in Madrid before Juventus signed Pjanic.
Madrid, PSG, and the english clubs, are the only teams that can afford Pogba. Doubt he'd come to England tbh and I doubt he'd go to Ligue 1. Has to be Madrid.
100% Madrid. Rodriguez out, Pogba in to keep things fresh.
There's been Pogba talk linking him to United. Would be gutted if a Europa League-bound United managed to get Pogba. Would prefer he goes to Real Madrid. They'd probably sell one of their stars, and I imagine Ronaldo is probably almost on the wane now. So I can stomach that. Don't want Pogba in England. He'd arrive as the third best player in the land after Deli Alli and Harry Kane.
Pogba isn't going to United. Not a chance.
Times reported that Spurs close to signing Batshuayi and Vincent Janssen
Even if it wasn't for their current predicament I can't imagine Pogba has much love for United.
Of course not. Fungus dragged Scholes' carcass out of retirement and played Rafael in midfield when he had Pogba roaring and ready to go, nobody in their right mind would go back to that place after that kind of treatment
Breaking news from @gerardromero (Cadena Ser) who claim Manchester City have signed John Stones for €50m
Doubt it very much.
Haven't they basically signed Laporte from Bilbao anyway?
Mourinho really wanted Stones last summer. I can definitely see this happening. Money's not a concern for United and Mourinho is not going to enter next season with a fraudulent Chris Smalling as a regular performer.
Jose will push very hard for him. I think City have picked their young CB for the future in Laporte, as already said. Just a twitter rumour.

I remember you saying Breel Embolo was close to RB Lepzig or something like that. It seems that Man U is close to him now.

Doubt it. They've just signed the Ivorian guy from Villarreal for £30m and, anyway, I reckon Stones will end up staying at Everton now he has a proper coach like Koeman to learn from.

You mean you remember me posting a rumour that the deal to take Embolo to Lepzig was almost done. Let's see what happens. If United swoop, they'll prize him from a potential move to RB effortlessly.

The thing with United is that they could easily spend £150 million in this window, and they might just do it. They're already getting the best centreforward in the world for free, during a time when average strikers are being sold around Europe for outrageous fees. What's left for Mourinho now is to build a spine and a proper defence. Stones fits the type he's after, even if he fell apart during the second half of last season.
Stones seems like the sort of defender that would drive Mourinho mad and I can't imagine he'd particularly enjoy playing for Mourinho either.
Yep, just can't see it. Not a good fit at this point for either in my view.
Smalling will be the guy Jose will (have to) hang his hat on next season, and that is great news for us. United, for all their money, aren't getting the very top players. Ibrahimovic is a big stroke of luck for them and even then his age is the only reason they're getting him. I don't doubt they'll spend loads of money, but it'll be more of the Ivorian dude from Villarreal than players like Zlatan.
Bailly is a good player tricks
