Don't know if this goes here but rumors about Simeone to chelsea worry me. Rate him highly and think his brand of managing would be particularly effective with their squad.

Except for offering him Wenger's job.

Don't think he'd want to go to Chelsea at the moment. He's got a good thing going at Atletico. Loads of exciting young talent to work with.

Chelsea are supposedly willing to double his wages.

How much would that make?

We're not exactly penny-pinching when it comes to the manager's wages either.

Simeone would find himself much more at home at Chelsea, im sure. He's a tough cunt as well, their squad and club owner reflects this as well.

Apparently he's on the modest sum of £4.4m p.a. Double that would be slightly more than what Wenger currently makes, which we can easily afford.

But my point is that a wage rise could be the biggest incentive for him to switch from At. Madrid to another club. In terms of everything else, though, I think he's better off staying in Spain.

Don't think the current Chelsea squad is filled with many Simeone players. It's a significant rebuilding job on the cards for them, whoever the next manager is.

Simeone is also smart enough to know, if he takes the Chelsea job he would be out of it within 2-3 years.

Neither is ours. He is a cut-throat manager and Chelsea is a cut-throat club. They suit each other. We have a board reluctant to invest any significant money into a rebuild. He is much better off at Chelsea, where he would get all the right tools in his disposal to do what he wants. Until he eventually gets sacked, of course.

He'll make as much in 3 years at Chelsea as he would in 6 years at Athletico. Hardly a huge negative.

Lille attacking midfielder Sofiane Boufal is set to leave the club at the end of the season, according to L’Équipe.

Well annoying if true. Potential-wise Anderson is a Martial level talent, but he's clearly struggling in a rigid Lazio side where he doesn't get creative freedom to do his thing. There are big question marks surrounding his mentality and his abiliy to adapt to new environments too. It just makes no sense for Manchester United to buy him. I saw Martial lose the ball when he attempted a dribble the other day, and immediately afterwards they cut to the bench where van Gaal looked like he was going to have a heart attack.

Van Gaal will be gone soon.

Will he be a success under Mourinho though?

Mourinho might use him on the wing, can't see him playing him at number 10 though. I could see Mourinho going for Martial and Anderson on the wings with a new CF up top and Rooney playing behind the striker. Mourinho will love Rooneys tracking back.

Mourinho must be massaging himself daily. He will re-fashion the team with a front three of Martial, Anderson and Aubemayang. As Qwiss says, Rooney can drop back to 10. Should be interesting .

Aubemayang to United? Did I miss something?
