Olivier Giroud: "Tell me where we need new players? Just tell me where? I will explain the opposite judgment," he said. "We have very good players as well on the bench, young players waiting to come in. They are very talented.
"I am not worried about it. I know that maybe we sign a player, an Egyptian one..."

Na na na  πŸ˜†

An Arsenal press officer was quick to play down speculation linking the club with a Β£7.4m move for Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny. "No, not yet. It is close," he said.

Watch the Weng break the deal off and transfer list Giroud for giving out that info to the public

Giroud got no chill.

We can confirm that #Elneny is currently not in training to sort out a potential transfer. That’s all we can say at the moment. #FCBasel

It's done. And knowing how the Arsenal club works, we will announce this on midnight january 31 ;D .
But this not why I posted. Look at the transparency from Basel. We never do stuff like this. It's always secret and always draggs on before we announce it. I remember when Santi signed, a week before Wenger said "I don't know who he is" and then on the same day it was official on Arsenal com, the press had pictures with him training with the squad. So that means he had taken the presentation pictures days before. πŸ˜†

Wenger said 'I don't know who he is' with the biggest troll face grin you'll ever see, if anything it was a confirmation that it was done.

Hope he's here in time for Saturday. Would be good to be able to give him some mins, guy needs to be fast tracked into the first team.

Wenger is sociopathic liar Steaky, we all know that.

A club spokesperson told ManUtd.com: "Manchester United is delighted to announce it has agreed terms with Cardiff City for the transfer of Aaron Ramsey subject to contract terms being agreed and the player passing a medical."

So basically nothing was finalised? πŸ˜†

Their official site is about as reliable as Jan Aage Fjortoft.

Didn't United's website once correctly say we were in for Draxler though? πŸ˜†

Imagine being showed around United's training facility by Gary Neville. Who in their right mind would sign for them after that?

transparency? they'll announce the deal when it's official. that's about as transparent as you need.  they are the official arsenal website, not a tabloid trying to get hits. basel's end is complete so they can say what they want.

I can confirm that KingFut is a reliable website.

Welcome young Mohammed.

well, thats pretty much that then.. lets hope he blends in quickly

Are you Egyptian?

Is that linked article serious or complete houseboat?

his comfort on the ball while under pressure in his own half is the most consistent element of these comps. this is one of the biggest issues we have at the moment, no-one is comfortable passing the ball to the flame in our own half due to the high chance of ensuing fukkery. looks like he has a low centre of gravity to throw off pressure as well.

He's playing very deep in that game. Looks like he's occupying some kind of weird libero position, almost.

And yes, he does look comfortable on the ball under pressure. I like that a lot too.

He's got smashing hair. Only Bellerin could compete with him in the hair stakes.

101greatgoals is complete houseboat, but they use Kingfut as a source, which seems to be reliable. The problem is I can't find the article on kingfut.com

This cat has nothing on Bellerin when it comes to great hair. No shame there though as Bellerin has the best hair in football.

His teammate confirms the move. Woo!

I like how he moves to create an angle after the first pass. Not high quality opposition here but the signs so far have been encouraging.

Hope this gets finalised soon. We need to get him at least onto the bench as quickly as possible.

I agree. It is actually ridiculous this isn't done yet! Everyone at the club has known for at least a month about the state of our squad. This should have been done and dusted by now and the bloke should be in training with us.

It's the first week of Janurary and by all accounts the hold up has been to do with the work permit rather than a hold up by either of the clubs or the player. It's not been ridiculous at all, it's been quite smooth so far

Yeah, this would have already been done if not for the international clearance issue. Monday was essentially the first day of working.

He looks interesting. He can pass but in none of the videos is he being really pressured. What is impressive is that he doesn't stop running, he passes and moves into space to give a passing option.

Unfortunately none of the videos I have seen show a lot of his defensive work.

Yep, as long as he is in the squad for Liverpool with a week of training under his belt its all good. He just had a long break, so im not even counting on him for Sunderland.

Would be great to see him on the bench v Sunderland.

When does he get his debut? He won't make this weekend's team.
And then Liverpool, Stoke and Chelsea don't strike me as the games in which you want to be fielding debutants.

As long as Ramsey-Flamini are fit he wont start a game for us in January most likely. Sub appearances.

Pretty much, even if he was a more established player there's little sense in throwing him to a team under these circumstances. He's got to understand his teammates, get his head right, settle into the city and work out what is expected of him.

I wouldn't be surprised if Arteta gets more game time than Elneny this month.

If Wenger were happy with Flamini starting games then we wouldn't be signing anybody this month. I would think this would be obvious to both Wenger haters and Wenger lovers alike. I'd be concerned if Elneny isn't able to walk off the plane straight into the first XI ahead of Flamini. This guy seemingly can run and pass and has played professional football before so there's no reason not to believe he's immediately at least 5 times better than Flamini.
