Disagree but that's pretty much a matter of opinion. I think if you're really interested in doing good you won't be interested in spending large amounts of money on unnecessary luxury, even though there surely are always exceptions. I'm not saying I'd be driving an 80s Honda Civic if I had as much money as Balotelli but there's a difference between having a nice car and sinking millions into my car fleet before turning 25.
I also disagree that most footballers give plenty to charity, I think it's mostly single acts and Make A Wish stuff which is good for PR. God knows how many don't even pay their taxes properly, either by legally "avoiding" or straight dodging tax.
Well you used Drogba as an example of a guy who gives a lot to charity and he's certainly a flash git too, nothing wrong with it of course, but I think theres a certain lifestyle these players have and very few who don't buy into it, especially at the big clubs. Remember when the cunts at Man Utd smashed up Parks Kia cos it wasn't flash enough? Its just part of the culture of players.
Maybe I overestimate what players give to charity, I guess its impossible to say for sure whether they do or don't. You certainly see a lot of players who support charities throughout their lives, even after retirement.
