Ffs. What really grinds my gears, as Peter would say, is that your opinion isn't based on what Joel has done with his minutes. It's based on what he was to you when he came here and apparently that's all that matters.
Based on what Joel has done with his minutes, Zagreb, Olympiakos and yesterday are the only 3 appearances out of his 18 appearances for Arsenal this season where Campbell has looked like an Arsenal player. Purely on the face of things, he's played like shit player who, through an unbelievable stroke of luck, has managed to fall ass-backwards into heavy playing time for the best team in the country. Hell, you only need to go back to his last start before this one where he had such a nightmare performance that he subsequently got benched in favor of Chamberlain (who it seems anyone on this forum will gladly tell you is horrible) for the next two games. We're playing well enough to cope with a player like Campbell this season, just like we were playing well enough to cope with a player like Flamini in 13/14. Let's just have a bit of perspective about things. Also, yes of course I use a player's history to help inform me of his current level. It just so happens that Campbell's history as a nothing player is right in line with his nothing performances this season.
