The one guy who really interests me right now is Simeone just because I think he would tear down the laissez-faire attitude we have towards tactics, workrate and player fitness. He'd exterminate any sign of Wengeriness from the club. I fear some of the other options - e.g., a Tuchel - might try to build on Wenger's crumbling foundations

Hoffenheim's manager. He has them competing for Europe with a pretty average side and has made them extremely hard to beat, they lost their first game this season the other day and only after going down to ten men. Most remarkable attribute of his is he's 29 years old.

Nowhere near ready for a top club even if he's definitely one to watch. Seems like quite the pretentious asshole in interviews though, there are a couple of other managers in the Bundesliga who I'd prefer. Niko Kovac from Frankfurt would be one of those, he's sitting in 3rd (above Hoffenheim) with a cheap squad filled with loanees that most expected to go down this season. Plays very hard, aggressive football, tactically very astitute and in general very reminiscient of Simeone in 13/14. Wouldn't be sad to see him stay where he is mind

I have also seen Hasenhuttl as an option from RBL, but have also seen Rangnick suggested as he is seen as being the brains that put their infrastructure together & is an experienced manager. He was also on the shortlist for the national team as Assistant Manager.

Howe is about 40 like AVB. Nagelsmann is 29, younger than half the squad he manages

I think the question of replacing Wenger must also include discussion of a Director of Football. We are one of the last few clubs where the manager wields so much power. I'm not certain of the structure at most other clubs but it's much more common, especially across the Continent, for clubs to have a two tiered management system. I'm sure some of you can enlighten / correct me.

So it will probably be two people we're going to have to look for, which is a bit of a worry, given there is no one at the club with much experience in hiring football managers.

If they really want to keep Aw but also recognise that there needs to be a change, then swallow their pride and bring back DD as DoF.
AW's greatest issue off the pitch is his conservatism & procrastination to the point he has 'missed out' on a number of targets over the years, whereas DD used to push him into making a commitment to action.

Probably uses the rumours for contract negotiations. Not my first choice but wouldn't be against this at all, and not just because it's someone other than Wenger in charge
