Seems fans always need a scapegoat. Ox is the flavor this season. Pretty harsh on a 22 year old kid who has had his last two or three seasons interrupted by injuries. He isn't playing well, but fans at the games going after a kid who is blatantly low on confidence is just retarded.
He's not a scapegoat because Wenger has mostly had the good sense to bench him. He's just been very, very poor all season and people noticed.
Yep and especially when Ox is always one of the fans favourites in the past. He is just having such a poor season it can't be ignored. To go the entire 2015 without a single goal and assist in the league is a horrible record. Added to the fact that the match was pretty horrible from our point of view, heading towards a nil nil draw and having so many players playing badly, it's understandable fans don't forgive a total lack of effort from any player. It's so contrasting to see Ox strolling around, then Joel coming on and sprinting everywhere, winning many balls back and stopping Newcastle's attack.

Sad to say that Theo gave him some strong competition. We need a wide player desperately.
And ha - where you there mate? I was in the clock end lower tier too, could see exactly that. Ox seemed disinterested and without confidence throughout, and there were a couple of times that Ozil screamed at him for awful positioning. Enjoyed seeing further evidence of what a leader the latter has become though.
Edit - Doh, seen the above.
Yeah almost forgot how bad Theo is as well. It's pretty embarrassing most of us heard it, unfortunate that the emirates was extremely quiet and Ozil's shouts at him was incredibly clear most of the time 😆 Ozil's leadership really improved a lot since he arrived, most of the time he is leading our attack and setting examples for others. You could see that for example Theo really listens and take notice to his positions, combines pretty well with Ozil.
