I remember us being linked with him heavily when he was in Serie B. Would probably cost too much for Wenger to take the hit though, same thing with Krychowiak guy. Not sure if Wenger's pride would allow him to buy a player he could have had for cheap/free.

Actually for all the smack talk about our scouting, we always do seem to show interest in lot of the top talent before letting them join some elite team the year after. Douglas Costa was another one, Di Marzio was talking up our serious interest in him a year or two ago.

Jorginho is very talented and has blossomed under Sarri. Bit Arteta-like maybe. He's a player I'd prefer to Cazorla and Coquelin in a deeper midfield position.

I'm more sold on the idea of signing Rabiot at the moment though. His individual talent is bigger and I think he's going to be a clear level up from what we have in as little as a year. We really should act quickly here, before Motta and Matuidi get too old.

i think we might have missed the rabiot window, when him and his mum were stropping about playing time 24 months ago.

on aubameyang - i remember feeling we should have signed him instead of giroud when he was at st etiene. olly may have been a bit more polished and was the top scorer, but auba just fit our striker profile so much more. had we signed him, he'd be one of the best strikers in england by now. or better yet, just sign both in the wake of rvp leaving - they were available for a relative pittance

Unlikely even in that case Gazza. More likely is that unless we're struggling to get 4th, there is no point even thinking about looking for transfer updates.
