Don't believe the Xhaka rumours for a second. I do think that Wenger would jump if Rabiot became available though, because I doubt Elneny is the long-term solution to midfield any more than Chambers was signed as a starting centreback.

The only rumours about Xhaka I'm reading are the ones where we get him as a replacement after Ramsey goes to Barca. Not getting on that bandwagon.

Wenger flat out confirmed that he prefers to get our players back before looking into the transfer market for another player.

He mentioned more than once that Welbeck is world class so unless we get more serious injuries we should be done unfortunately. Have heard that we are still looking around but don't seem like it from his statement.

Wenger won't sign anyone now that he's got his backup CM. Elneny is the Gabriel of 2016.

Wellbeck is coming back from a big knee injury, Wenger is trying to breath a bit of motivation into him and belief.
