Looking at a youtube comp Kokorin looks like a worse version of Welbeck.

Looks like a big mofo, probably has a cheap buyout clause since he just move to Porto and more importantly he isn't represented by Mendes. Assuming all the talks about us sending scouts to Porto games are true, there could be something in this.

Actually according to wiki his release clause is 40mil Euros, so probably not after all.

mohamed elneny is a name that keeps popping up the last fee weeks. egyptian 23 year old dm, playing for basel. anyone know mich about him?

the little i could glean online suggests he's not a progressive passer and is more of a coquelin back up.

Not seen him but remember Basel having a few nifty players

Swiss news outlets saying we've agreed a fee and a medical is imminent

Boa morte had said he's been watching danilo perreira specifically. Also said we haven't been looking at Neves

Now we are talking! Samper and Elneny for Rozza, Arteta and Flamini I can live with. Get Cazorla off our books and sign Pogba as well...

Where would your Welsh Jesus play if we got Pogba?

To summarise the most prominent Jan Tran rumours

Elneny
Samper
Brozovic
Andy Najar
Javier Hernandez
Nolito

Can't see us signing two midfielders. This happens every year; we get linked with untold players in one position and we are lucky if one arrives.

BBC said that elneny needs a work permit, so for now I would consider any other links to simply be us looking at all options in case that one falls through.

If we got Poggers we'd be rotating tween him, Jack and Rambo on the flanks of a midfield diamond.

Or so I dream.

Whatever the case, one makes room for Pogba. We made room for Ozil despite allegedly having too many players in the same position.

Wenger on the transfer window: "I will be busy that is for sure. I have already said we are short." & that Debuchy exit is "not impossible."

We are getting either an RB or CB on top of El-Neny and that'll be it I suppose. Not the greatest of January windows that, but it'll do. Not sold on this Neny guy though, not sure if he is a dm or a b2b and he seemed pretty average from the comp vids I've seen. If Coq is out for most of the remainder of the season then we should aim high.

Forget Hernandez, he has already made a few sub appearances for Utd this season and a player can't play for three clubs in one season so that rules him out as a potential jan signing.

We desperately need a quality addition for a front line along with a competent central midfielder. We also shouldn't entertain letting Debuchy go in January; sell his ass in the summer, and I don't give a hoot about what that does to his chances of playing in the Euros.

Pato would be the best deal this Jan.

Yeah, that seems like a shrewd signing for a club. Doubt it will be Arsenal though.

I would have killed to have Pato instead of Theo on the end of Özil's passes against Bournemouth.

I haven't seen Pato play since he left Milan, has anyone been following his time in Brazil?

He was a quality young striker for Milan but was injured most of the time.

The consensus on his time in Brazil is that he's been less injury prone. I think he's been on an upwards trend during his time in Brazil and he would be worth a gamble. He would most likely cost less than your favorite Welbeck.

I wonder if Ben Arfa would be worthwhile in the summer. Still only 28 and has a magical season in France by most accounts. He's familiar with Premier League too. Maybe we could get a couple great years out of him. At this rate he's going to cost significantly less than Mahrez too.

I'd absolutely love a healthy Ben Arfa. Such an exciting player.

Reckon he could have a Reyes-like impact on our title challenge, if we signed him now and he stayed healthy. With our injury record though, he'd probably break down in a week.

I want Samper, he could develop into a top DLP/DM. Arteta replacement long term.

Will be interesting to see what Wenger does

I recon we'll get two centre mids and a nice surprise for the forward line

One of my favourite player to watch when he was at Newcastle. He has already wasted enough time in his careeer, don't look like fulfilling it anytime soon. Twice the talent Nasri ever had.

Ben Afra is a maverick but I would take him on loan for the rest of the season. However, signing mavericks at this time of the season doesn't alway work. Look at Newcastle in Jan 96 when they signed Asprilla from Parma, they were 12 points clear at the time of his signing, only to end up blowing it by May.

Having thought again about Pato, perhaps his potential signing would not be as good one initially imagined.

Rarely has a player gone from South America to Europe to South America back to Europe and done well.

Sanogo to get a recall?

Think I'd rather Ben Arfa than Pato for short term gains.

Pato may come good but I think Ben Arfa could have a quicker and more noticeable impact. Honestly, him and Sanchez wide from Ozil would be a terror for any team.

Ben Arfa would be a decent buy, Sofiane Boufal too.

If it's true that Isco has submitted a transfer request, we need to go in for him no matter what we need the most. He's the kind of player we'll regret not signing send, and can play on both wings plus AM.

Yup. Flog off W.A.C.O. : Welbeck, Alex Chamberlain Oxlade.

In I.S.C.O. : Isco
