Sky Nigeria reporting with put in a bid for Gotze
#deadlineday thread (Summer 2015)
Yeah that was a fake account re: Griezmann
My phone auto corrects Griezmann now - that's depressing

Who would have thought the richest club in the world would reject last minute offers for their starters. I hope this is bullshit, Wenger can't be this fucking thick ffs
Here's the full story from Wilson:
"Arsenal’s hopes of signing a first senior outfield player of the summer are fading on Monday night, despite another day spent exploring various options around the world.
"Paris Saint-Germain is understood to have been a particular focus for Arsenal’s recent enquiries and, while there has been interest in Edinson Cavani, Adrien Rabiot and Marco Verratti, they have received little encouragement.
"Wenger feels no need to make any panic buys to a team that finished so strongly last season and, while some fans might disagree, he is happy that Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sánchez and Theo Walcott do provide enough options in the centre-forward position to challenge for the major trophies."
Sigh, that was exactly what I feared.
It's obvious Cavani ain't for sale
Go get Mahrez and Gotze and then let's party hard
Kel Varnsen wrote:We need a wide forward as much as we we need a striker. Maybe even more so. Imo, Giroud is as good up front as both Chamberlain and Ramsey are out wide.
Yeah. I don't think there any strikers to be had, but there are no excuses for a wide forward.
Pretty sure that whole story is BS.
If we've spoken to PSG, it'll probably be for Rabiot.
No one would take us seriously if we asked PSG for Cavani or Verratti on the last day of the window
no one takes us seriously now. thats why they just say no and we go away
Gunner89 wrote:Jeremy Wilson says enquires for Cavani, Rabiot and Verrati rebuffed.
At least give us rabs ffs. You've got di maria, veratti, motta, and matuidi as it is
I hope Wilson's report is true. If only because it gives me the comfort that Wenger recognizes that Verratti is all kinds of excellent.
We might as well pull a United and bid a foolish amount for a top tier player, eg., Reus, Verratti, and see if his team bites. I am talking 50, 60m bids here. That money is useless in our pockets.
That United transfer really is something.
The Premier League is so far behind the rest of Europe it's embarrassing. Madrid, Bayern, Barca, PSG are streets ahead of any English team. Atleti and Juve would beat every team in England over two legs. City are the only good team in the entire division. Monk and Pardew are the best managers around. It's a disgrace really.
This window is going to pass a not one willy will have been shaken with the owner being in a state of mad joy
Jean Kevin Augustin is our boy

Plenty of blue Mancunian willies are shaking as we speak. In North London, not so much. Maybe Flamini, who's one step closer to a free transfer

That's just Sanogo, masquerading as someone else to sneak back in.
The likelihood of us signing a new player is prob under 12%.
Should we be pissed off? Yes.
Should we have known better and not wasted 3 months clicking these pages? Yes.
Will we ever learn? No
Will Wenger ever change? No
Will the exact same thing happen to all of us this time next year? Yes
Goodnight.
I feel sorry for the City fans. They get no banter, no emotional rollercoaster, no deadline day nail biting. They just sign up everyone they go after. How boring.

This one seems to have legs. Signing striker prospects is the right thing to do, but why leave it this late? This kind of deal could've been done months ago
You sure it's 12 percent?

Sorry the ad specifically stated NO TIME WASTERS.

I just woke up hoping for good news on deadline day. But unfortunately it looks like Wenger is still here.
Do striker prospects only exist in France?
That gif sums it up perfectly MistaT
Grosskreutz anyone? I'm not asking Jones, by the way.
No.

Its that beautiful hazy all too brief period just when you awaken in the morning from dreaming and wait for things to arrange themselves in your mind......
And then awful reality dawns.

Yep but they cost about 20m in add-ons :p
How about we bid griezmanns release clause, and sign Rabiot while we're at it
Exactly, go completely mental, pay the bloody Griezmann money.
Seriously he would make a massive difference, give us that cutting edge we've been missing.
Would Griezmann want to join us though ?
Mais oui, bien sur.
